We are pleased to announce your showcasing artists for ArtsMarket 2019, taking place November 4-6 in Durham, NC! Showcases and artist pitches are scheduled throughout the three days at the historic Carolina Theatre of Durham.
40 artists were selected out of 268 through a highly competitive application process. Each will present a 15-minute showcase or a 5-minute artist pitch at the Carolina Theatre.
Since 2000, the NC Presenters Consortium and the NC Arts Council have partnered to co-produce ArtsMarket biennially. The conference brings together performing artists, arts agents and managers, vendors, and representatives from performance venues across the state of North Carolina and the southeastern United States. These industry professionals spend three busy days networking, attending showcase performances, and making business deals.
First hosted in Wilmington, ArtsMarket relocated to High Point and, in 2011, moved to its current home in downtown Durham. The city of Durham has a proud and diverse heritage, and its creative workforce and rich arts environment continues to gain recognition and ranking nationwide.
The North Carolina Presenters Consortium formed in 1991 and works closely with its two hundred-plus member organizations to bring the unique, creative experience shared between artist and audience to all people of North Carolina. NCPC is supported by member dues, program fees, and through grant subsidies from the North Carolina Arts Council and South Arts.
