The NCPC Futures Fund is a convenient method for paying honor or tribute to NCPC members and industry colleagues for longstanding service or leadership in the field, to commemorate a job relocation or advancement, to thank someone for a great idea or outstanding endeavor or as a way to simply honor a colleague, friend, or mentor.

The fund is governed by the NCPC board of directors and is available for use in supporting efforts and projects that uphold, exemplify or strengthen the spirit of non-competitive collaboration that is the hallmark of NCPC, and to offer financial assistance to emerging leaders from within the NCPC community and arts presenting industry. Such assistance might come in the form of grants for conference participation, travel support, seed funds for volunteer development, commissions for artistic creation, and opportunities deemed to be “stretching boundaries, removing barriers, kicking the beehive, innovative, entrepreneurial” endeavors—to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and awarded in the spirit of what has helped make NCPC a leader in its field.

The NCPC Futures Fund was approved by the Executive Committee and officially established in September 2011, and was publicly announced at the 2011 ArtsMarket conference in Durham. It was born and seeded through the initiatives of family and colleagues in honor of the retirement of artist manager and agent John Loyd of Loyd Artists, a longtime, active supporter and leader of NCPC since its inception.

We welcome your gifts and ongoing support to the Futures Fund in honor of those who have made a difference in your career, in tribute to friends and co-workers who have inspired your role in sharing the value of the performing arts.
