NCPC has over 200 member organizations that include
presenters, agencies, independent artists, vendors, and service providers.

But why join?
NCPC is a valuable resource network for presenters, agents, artists, vendors, and service providers. As one of the largest and most active state consortia, we provide access to a vibrant statewide arts scene and a pool of friendly colleagues who have collectively amassed decades of experience in the industry. Our meetings, listserv, and ArtsMarket conference help agents, artists, and vendors connect with presenters, and presenters connect with one another. Members communicate often and come together to openly share resources, advice, opportunities, and camaraderie.

What is a presenter?
Performing arts presenting organizations contract talent spanning multiple genres for one or more engagements at theatres, colleges and universities, festivals, performing arts centers, and other venues in communities large and small. The work that these artists perform is produced outside of the presenting organization.

Presenting organizations must meet the following criteria:

  • Proof of 501c3 status
  • Presenting at least 3 events featuring professional touring artists/companies per year
  • Presentation of cultural-based programming being among the organization's primary purposes

Also eligible are emerging not-for-profit presenting organizations which present fewer than three events yearly or are in the process of establishing or further developing a broader presenting program (contact the Executive Director to discuss).

Agents, independent artists, vendors, and industry-related service providers are invited to join, too!  These "non-presenter" members play a crucial role in the successful functioning of our organization. They are instrumental in maintaining the thriving cultural ecosystem of our state, and benefit from the opportunities for communication and face-to-face interaction provided by NCPC. Agents, artists, vendors, and service providers have access to NCPC's private listserv and are invited to all association meetings and events, except for block booking meetings.

After you fill out the form, your membership will be manually approved and you will receive an invoice via email.  Once the invoice is paid, you will be added to the members-only listserv.  If you have any questions about membership, please contact the Executive Director prior to filling out the application.

Become a member anytime during the year; your membership is good for 12 months from the date you join!
