What is NCPC?

The North Carolina Presenters Consortium (NCPC) is a non-profit membership association of professional performing arts presenting organizations and industry professionals from NC, throughout the Southeast and across the country. NCPC advances the performing arts through collaboration, shared resources and professional development.

What Our Members Say...

We work hard to serve and support presenters, agents, artists and service providers and to ensure that the business of the arts can be done in a thoughtful and supportive way. Click the video on the right to learn more about what our members love about being a part of NCPC.

Why Join NCPC?

NCPC proudly serves as a year-round resource for presenters, agents, artists, vendors, and service providers! As one of the largest and most active state consortia, we offer access to a vibrant arts scene across the state and a supportive network of colleagues who collectively bring decades of experience in the industry.

NCPC Member Benefits Include

  • Access to our moderated online listserv for all members, allowing them to ask questions, share news, discuss block booking, and seek support year-round.
  • Access to four annual in-person events: the Annual Membership Meeting, Winter Booking Conference, and Annual ArtsMarket Conference.
  • Access to NCPC’s block booking meetings, which help presenters find talent and schedule shows together, saving thousands in artist fees and travel expenses. Our presenters can access sessions throughout the year, while artists and agents can showcase their talent at in-person events and via our listserv for maximum exposure.
  • Access to professional development sessions year-round, both in-person and online. These affordable sessions cover relevant topics for all members, with feedback helping to shape the content.
  • Access to quarterly virtual affinity groups for collaboration and connection. These meetings facilitate discussions, resource sharing, and inspiration among members.
  •  Provides agent, artist, and manager members access to showcase opportunities at meetings and conferences throughout the year. These events allow presenters to see artists in action and make informed decisions during block-booking sessions.
  • Provides agents, managers, and artist members pitch opportunities to presenters in person or via video meetings. The listserv allows them to communicate directly with presenters, share their rosters, and book opportunities.
  • Access to partnership opportunities to increase visibility. For example, our long-standing relationship with Our State magazine includes donated advertising pages in exchange for promoting the magazine as a sponsor and allowing members to share events for potential inclusion throughout the year.

Membership Categories

NCPC Membership for Presenters

Presenting organizations must meet the following criteria:

Proof of 501c3 status
Presenting at least 3 events featuring professional touring artists/companies per year
Presentation of cultural-based programming being among the organization's primary purposes

Also eligible are emerging not-for-profit presenting organizations which present fewer than three events yearly or are in the process of establishing or further developing a broader presenting program (contact the Executive Director to discuss).

NCPC Membership for Non-Presenters

Agents, independent artists, vendors, and industry-related service providers are invited to join, too!

These "non-presenter" members play a crucial role in the successful functioning of our organization. They are instrumental in maintaining the thriving cultural ecosystem of our state, and benefit from the opportunities for communication and face-to-face interaction provided by NCPC. Agents, artists, vendors, and service providers have access to NCPC's private listserv and are invited to all association meetings and events, except for block booking meetings.
