No. While NCPC was founded to support presenters in North Carolina, membership is open to artists, agents, managers, and vendors who work within the presenting field. Our goal is to strengthen the entire performing arts ecosystem.

IS NCPC ONLY FOR ORGANIZATIONS BASED IN NORTH CAROLINA?

No. Although NCPC is rooted in North Carolina, we welcome members from neighboring states and beyond. Expanding regionally strengthens touring opportunities, collaboration, and visibility for everyone involved.

IS ARTSMARKET SOUTHEAST A ONE-TIME OR OCCASIONAL EVENT?

No. ArtsMarket Southeast is an annual conference held in Durham, NC, providing a reliable, recurring convening that presenters, artists, agents, and vendors can plan around each year.

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN USE ONE NCPC MEMBERSHIP?

Each organizational membership includes up to five individuals under one membership bundle. This allows teams to share benefits, attend events, and stay connected without purchasing multiple memberships.

Presenters connect artists with communities by selecting, booking, and supporting performing arts experiences that reflect local interests. They curate programming, negotiate artist engagements, promote events, and engage with their communities to better understand audience needs. The artistic work itself is produced outside of the presenting organization.

A Presenter’s Consortium is a professional association of presenters who collaborate and support one another. Consortia often include artists, agents, and vendors, creating a shared network that strengthens the performing arts field.

Joining a consortium provides access to resources that are often difficult to achieve independently, including professional networking, collaborative support, professional development, and block booking opportunities. These connections help bring high-quality arts experiences to diverse communities.
