Location Descriptions:

Appalachian Theatre of the High Country – Located at 559 West King Street in Boone, North Carolina, this historic performance venue sits in the heart of downtown Boone along West King, the town’s main street. It’s directly adjacent to the Boone Town Hall and just a short walk from a variety of local restaurants, shops, and services that line King Street. The theatre is part of Boone’s vibrant town center, nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains region of northwestern North Carolina. 

The Schaefer Center for the Performing Arts – This performing arts center is located at 733 Rivers Street on the campus of Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. Situated in the heart of the university campus, the venue is positioned on Rivers Street, 

a primary thoroughfare that runs through the academic core of the campus. It is surrounded by academic buildings, green spaces, and student life areas, making it easily accessible by foot from many parts of campus and just a few blocks north of downtown Boone. 

Graystone Lodge, an Ascend Collection Hotel – Graystone Lodge stands at 2419 NC-105 in Boone, North Carolina, along one of the region’s main highways that connects Boone with nearby mountain communities and outdoor recreation areas. The hotel is positioned just off NC-105 north of the central Boone town area, making it a convenient base for accessing attractions like the Blue Ridge Parkway, ski resorts, and local hiking trails. Its location along this well-traveled route makes it easy to spot when approaching Boone from the north.  The drive from Graystone Lodge to downtown Boone’s theatre district is about 7 minutes by car.

These hotels are located in Downtown Boone within walking distance to ATHC. Please note there are no room blocks for these hotels  and they are first come, first serve.

Regional Airports

Additional Parking Information:

Appalachian State University campus parking is free after 5:00 PM. Convenient parking is available near the Turchin Center, just a short walk from the Appalachian Theatre.

Monday, June 15 — Turchin Center lot parking is available from 3:00 PM onward at no cost.

Tuesday, June 16 & Wednesday, June 17 — Please plan to arrive after 5:00 PM when campus parking becomes free, or use available downtown parking options.

Event Parking

On-site parking is not available. When parking for this event, you will need to rely on using the parking lots located on King Street, Queen Street, Depot Street or utilize street parking.
