Meet the ArtsMarket 2025 Team

Headshot of Sharon Moore

About Sharon:

Sharon Moore retired from NC State LIVE in 2023 where she had the joy of connecting artists and audiences for 37 years with a nationally recognized presenting program that emphasizes visionary artists, relevant content, and community engagement. She worked with PlayMakers Repertory Company on the University of North Carolina campus in Chapel Hill before going to NC State in 1986.

Sharon was a founding member of the North Carolina Presenters Consortium in 1991, serving on the Executive Board until 1998, as President 1998-2000, and rejoining in 2014 for another term. Since 2002 Sharon has served in various capacities with Arts North Carolina (North Carolina’s statewide advocacy organization for the arts) including board member, vice chair, and chair of the Arts Day Planning Committee. She has also participated on the boards of the Association of Performing Arts Presenters, Arts Access, the North Carolina Jazz Network, and the North Carolina Dance Alliance. During her service on the Arts Access board, she was instrumental in the planning that brought Audio Description to Raleigh. Sharon is the recipient of South Art’s 2015 Mary Beth Treen Award and the 2016 Raleigh Medal of Arts Award.

For nine years she was the Performing Arts Director for the Cabarrus Arts Council based in Concord, NC. During her tenure there she was an active member of NCPC and served as an officer on the Board of Directors.

Prior to coming to North Carolina, Bunny was the Director of Performing Arts at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana. In addition to her arts programming duties at the college, she was an active theatrical director, directing over 70 college stage productions in addition to numerous local community theatre shows. Headshot of Mark Tulbert

About Mark:

Mark Tulbert has been involved with ArtsMarket longer than NCPC has existed. The first ArtsMarket was produced by the North Carolina Association of Arts Councils (now Arts North Carolina) in 1989. Since Mark’s husband Rob was the executive director of NCAAC at the time, Mark qualified as readily accessible volunteer labor.

In 2024, Mark retired after 31 years working with the arts programs at NC State University. In his first 23 years at the university, Mark was part of the small but mighty team of the NC State LIVE series, led by Sharon Moore, that built a performing arts program recognized nationally for innovative, challenging, artistically excellent, and culturally diverse programming. In 2016, Mark became director of arts marketing at NC State, building on his years of experience as a connector in the arts, sharing the stories of the role of the arts at a major university best known for its STEM-focused research, and reaching new audiences for the visual and performing arts at the institution.

Mark served on the NCPC board of directors in the mid-aughts, during the reigns of Queen Louisa and Lord Wicker.
