About the Artist: Far more than a vocal powerhouse, Calgary-based Roots/Blues artist Ollee Owens blends grit and intensity with exquisite skill, resulting in a sound that moves both body and soul. With the warmth of Mavis Staples and soulful delivery of Bonnie Raitt, Ollee draws on a wealth of experience, acknowledging the struggles of life while never losing sight of what matters. Combining her original work with unique interpretations of well-known and long-lost songs, the unpretentious backdrop of Ollee’s acoustic duo creates an appropriate setting for her incredibly diverse vocal range.

Since 2016, Ollee has played hundreds of shows across the Canadian Prairies and as far south as Memphis, sharing stages with artists like Will McFarlane, Alberta Castiglia, Matt Anderson, and Dawn Tyler Watson. Her most recent album, “Nowhere to Hide” (2024), has been well received across North America, Europe, and Down Under, with airplay on over 1000 radio stations worldwide, and was nominated for Blues Album of the Year at the YYC Music Awards.

“...Ollee Owens isn’t just another highly talented, gritty, down-to-Earth blues-folk-rock and pop singer from western Canada who has inexplicably eluded many of us Americans. You can hear that something extra in the texture of her voice, the sense that she is a warm, heartfelt, and genuine person …” Tom Henry, Toledo Blade, (USA, 2024)
