Mainstage Showcase Artist Information

ArtsMarket will provide the following to mainstage showcase artists:

Sound: A full FOH and monitor sound system will be provided for showcasing artists. This will include FOH and monitor consoles with  operators, monitor wedges, microphones, and cabling as needed. This will be  set up and operated in a “Festival Style”

Lighting: One or two general static washes will be available. Please know  that we will not be able to accommodate multiple lighting cues, spotlights, or  specials. We use the Carolina Theatre's House electrics plot and we will not  be able to provide special focusing.

Backline: A standard mainstage backline package will be provided,  including: an acoustic drum kit on a riser, upright bass, electric piano, synthesizer, two guitar amplifiers, and a bass amplifier/cabinet. This  equipment is provided as a convenience to the artists and to assist in keeping  showcases running smoothly and on time. Use of artist-provided drum kits  will not be allowed. Showcases utilizing the drum kit will have a maximum  of 15 minutes prior to their showcase to adjust the drums off-stage during  other showcases. Specific models of equipment to be offered will be finalized  and included in the contract/technical specification sent to presenting  performers. Showcasing Talent is expected to travel with their own  instruments please.

Piano: A fully tuned Yamaha S6X 7’ grand piano will be provided by the  Carolina Theatre and will be available for mainstage showcases.

Soundcheck: Please note that you should plan to be in the building and  backstage at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled soundcheck time to run  a brief 15 minute soundcheck/stage setup and to review final needs with the  Production Manager and technical staff.  Each soundcheck will be limited to  a maximum of 15 minutes, no exceptions. All showcasing artists will be  notified in advance of their load-in/soundcheck schedule.

Dressing Rooms: We will have a staff member located at the Stage Door/ Stage Left to check you in and provide your dressing room assignment.  Please note that most dressing rooms are shared with other showcasing  artists. Assignments have been made according to group size and the  showcase schedule.

The ArtsMarket Production Manager will work closely with showcase artists  to best meet their needs, but certain modifications may be necessary due to  time constraints and production flow. Only technical staff provided by  ArtsMarket may operate equipment during the juried showcases, unless  otherwise agreed upon in advance.
